Tomar Castle and Monastery, originally a 12th-century Templar castle, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The castle of Almourol is located in the middle of a river.

Óbidos Castle dates back to the Roman occupation of Portugal. In 2007 the castle was declared one of the 7 wonders of Portugal. You imagine yourself back in the Middle Ages. Events take place throughout the year, such as the medieval market in July, where everyone dresses up in medieval style.

The castle of Porto de Mos has emerald green towers and beautiful views and the historic center of Ourém looks just like a movie set. Close to home we have our own castle in Torres Novas and the castle in Leiria, which is also worth a visit.
