Nazaré beach

The Nazaré Big Wave Tow Surfing Challenge, organized by the World Surf League, takes place between November and February. Surfers ride waves of 15 meters and higher.

But Nazaré is more than a surfing paradise. Bathers can enjoy relaxing on the beautiful beaches. The crescent-shaped beach with golden sand forms a beautiful contrast with the clear blue sea. In February a colorful Carnival is celebrated, everywhere you see dressed up groups on the street, dancing to the cheerful Portuguese Carnival music, in a long procession
